We opened “Village Ski and Sports” in the fall of 1988. At that time, we were a year-round specialty store carrying an eclectic mixture of equipment and apparel. At some point in our first twelve years, we carried beachwear, sailboards, water skis, running shoes, soccer and baseball equipment, tennis and racquetball equipment, and lots and lots of T-shirts. In 2000, we grew large enough to build our own building. On New Year’s Eve, with the help of friends and dedicated employees, we moved into our new location.

On January 2nd, 2001 we reopened for the rest of the season as “Village Ski & Snowboard” (the name change reflecting the surge in snowboarding interest).

We now specialize in just skiing and snowboarding. Service remains a top priority. Our junior programs, ski and board tuning services and knowledge of our products are well known. We believe one of the best indicators of a good retailer is how far customers will travel for your goods and services. We are always pleased to see that our reputation brings in people from all over the world.

We look forward to many more years of servicing our customer’s ski and snowboard needs.
